　　すばらしい日本語で発表しました。

What is さくら？　What is SAKURA?
　　　　国際交流ボランティアネットワークさくらの生い立ち紹介です

　活動は5弁の花びらで

　　～活動内容紹介～

「さくら」は五弁の花びらになぞらえて次のような五分野で活動しています

SAKURA is supporting people from foreign countries, living in Hitachi City, Japan.
We are offering enjoyable events that you can take part in.

SAKURA,like the petals of the cherry blossom, consist of these five areas.
They are Language, International Aid (including UNICEF, Refugee Support),
Cultural Exchanges, Workshops and Home visits & Home stay.

１．語学（言語を通して外国人と市民との交流、国際理解を図る）
Language(An exchange and international understanding of the foreigner and the citizens are aimed at through the language. )
日本語教室、外国人の日本語による意見発表会、翻訳、通訳など。
Japanese Language & Kanji classes, Opinion symposium in foreigner's Japanese, Interpretation.

２．支援（留学生や在日外国人への支援、国際的活動へ協力する）
Support（Cooperation in international student, support to foreign resident in Japan, and international activity）
　留学生や在日外国人のお手伝いやバザー、そして国際的活動のユニセフ・地雷撤去運動・難民を助ける会などへの支援協力。
　Supporting international students and people from foreign countries,living in Hitachi, and International Aid. Holding Charity SAKURA Bazaar.

３．研修（国際理解を中心に学ぶ、啓発する）
Workshop and Lectures(Learning and Enlightenment of international understanding )
　ほかの国際交流団体への視察研修、講演会、ミニサロンの実施など。
　To develop International Understandings among members and citizens we hold lectures & workshops.
Visit volunteer groups in other cities to learn each other.

４．文化交流（異文化の相互理解や、交流を図る）
Culture　Exchange(Mutual understanding and exchange of different culture)
　伝統文化の紹介・実践、料理、音楽、芸術を通しての交流など。
　Learn different cultures each other, introducing traditional culture, dishes, music, art etc.

５．ホームステイ・ホームビジット
　　（外国人の宿泊、訪問、家庭に受け入れ身近に相互理解、交流を図る）
Home stay and visits(Acceptance of foreigner's Home stay and Home visits)
　市訪問の外国人、姉妹都市訪問団、留学生、日本語教室の生徒、市在住外国人などを家庭に招く交流など。
　Inviting foreigners, living in Hitachi and from sister cities, to our homes.

さくら２０周年　20th　Anniversary
　　2010年、さくらは花開いて20周年を迎えました。
　　多くの日立市民の皆様のご支援、ご協力ありがとうございました。

小平奨励賞受賞　　　Winning of ODAIRA Encouragement Award.　2010年10月6日
　　20年にわたり地域在住の外国の方々への様々な市民主導の自立的な活動が地域福祉に大きく貢献
　　していることが評価されました。
　・小平記念日立教育振興財団　平成22年度　第38回小平奨励賞贈呈式
